My Experiences During Covid

Post by Ulfat Rasool »

Dear all,

As we see the world is facing a difficult time. Everyone has faced this situation differently. But as a student here’s my story. I was preparing for my exams and at night I received a message from my college that due to the covid-19 Government has closed the colleges and soon will start the online classes. Our college already has an online platform to teach so I didn’t find it difficult to follow. And then after about two months, the Government announced that there will be no exams and the students will be promoted to the next class.

So now I was free to prepare for the entrance test. Moreover, during the Pandemic, I spend my time doing the Arduino projects. I made a drone and sometimes to fly that I went to the stadium taking the covid easy. I wasn’t having any mental, physical, and emotional challenges during this period. But I’ve seen some people going through this. This pandemic made clear to me what I already believed is that we humans are too small and very weak. And how vulnerable we humans are.

But now the situation is getting better. Some educational institutes are now open. Markets are open too. It seems that soon everything will be fine InShallah. But we should value this time too. For some people, it’s the time of distress. But for others, it’s the time to plan for the future and come forward. For people who feel safe at home the Isolation period is the best time to plan for the future. As this period has shown the credibility of some people, this has shown the credibility of some countries. As we see some countries have failed to cope with this virus and handled it the wrong way.
We should remember others in this difficult time. As we do have basic facilities in this country. But there are countries in which people don’t have the basic facilities too. They can' sanitize themselves, can’t continue their education because there is no internet, even don’t have the food. We should remember them and help them.

We should learn from this pandemic and be ready for any such experiences in the future. As the education system shifts to online mode, the Government should ensure that everyone has an internet connection. As in some rural areas, there is no internet. Overall, our country has dealt with this situation in a good way. The government didn’t lock the whole country which saved our crippling economy and still it is growing. And we should remember as Allah says in Quran So verily with every difficulty there is a relief.

Sincerely,
Ulfat
