How I experienced this Lockdown?

Post by farzam ali »

Hello Everyone,

As everyone had a different experience with lockdown. So, I want to say that, Life is a true set of exceptional realities and unpredictable moments besides a normal one. And It's a golden rule to admit, that when we have to bear something unpredictable, we will be rewarded by exceptional results because clouds have silver linings. We just need faith in ourselves. This chapter of history was more tragic than a deadliest war of human race and we should be grateful that we have survived this period of fear, the period by which we have been locked inside our homes with limited supply of resources for survival. It revealed the reality humanity, sense of gratitude and kindness.

It has been one and a half year and we are still in lockdown in different areas of our country, where the ratio of infected persons is more than safe limit. Sometimes it seems blessings and we are grateful to spend more time with their fellow members besides the hectic routine of official work, plan activities that had never done before due to robotic life. But after some weeks, the sense of being trapped surrounds us and the hunger to make out urges us to hangout whatever the infection ratio and the lockdown conditions are. Individually, that time has potential to make and break you.

For me, I was a totally different person before 15th March, 2020 (when the country wide lockdown was announced). A guy who has taken a gap year after his intermediate to shift his subject to his area of interest. But sooner or later, I have realized that I am not suitable enough to get admission in any university, being an introvert, I want to explore what changes should I make for a better person. I took advantage of this spare time to learn some new skills that I had never known before. The urge of change helped me to sharpen my abilities. It just a gap year but I would say it was an opportunity.

But every time it’s not that smooth as you were assuming, it was the hardest time for me because, everyone from my college getting admission to the best Medical or engineering universities and I was at that time in my home working on my grooming but I was facing that inferiority complex that I am wasting my time, actually I had started comparing myself with my fellow beings, that was not true. I am grateful to my company of friends who help me to escape that mental state.

Everyone is facing global pandemic, every one has faced a loss in the form of wealth, health and even lives. Doctor and paramedics have done their jobs very efficiently. But alas! Lay man was unaware to understand the effort they were made to save lives. We have lost many remarkable medical staff in this world-wide pandemic.

And the best thing is Life didn’t stop. Who couldn’t earn in physical markets, they shifted towards online market places. Those who were kicked from their jobs, has started doing free lancing, those who didn’t find any opportunity for making an investment, has started learning about new forms or income streams. It seems that the nature wants us to learn about the advancements in the world. So, we can learn new things and can excel in the world. It seems like a Blessing in disguise.

Yours Sincerely,
Farzam Ali
