Just before C0VID-19 reached Pakistan I was in my university hostel, very happy and enjoying with my friends. My studies were going very well and everything was normal. When this Virus (C0VID-19) entered Pakistan, everything changed. The coronavirus has transformed life as we know it. Educational Institutes are closed, we're confined to our homes and the future feels very uncertain. Since being in lockdown I've been up and down. At the start of this pandemic, I don't feel so much but over time, I realized that I'm going into depression and suffering from anxiety. Everything started to go online. As a university student, I face multiple challenges. The biggest challenge I face is taking online classes. At first, I wasn't able to completely understand the topics that were taught to me in online classes as it was all new for me not only for me but for all the students. I face internet issues that's why I face many problems while understanding different topics and in communication with my teachers. I also feel uncertain. I ask myself can I succeed in online classes?
The pressure of getting good grades and all that online stuff made me confined to my phone and laptop only. Slowly I began to spend all my time in one room. I leave my hobbies and stop talking to my friends on phone as well. My friends started thinking that I'm ignoring them. Gradually I gave up everything I was happy with.
I ask myself can I be able to maintain my honors position? Yes, I'm. I have a mentor, love of my family and they supported me during this pandemic. I did not want my semester to end like this. I see the opportunity to reflect on my goals, I see a chance to improve my study habits and I see a stronger tomorrow. I started working hard, started spending time with my family, and exploring nature. I started doing my hobbies back and made a strong connection with ALLAH Almighty. Then everything started to get better. I kept myself busy this is the only way to deal with depression and to better one's mental health. To keep me busy and to improve my skills I joined different societies and worked with welfare. I learned graphic designing during the lockdown and now I'm working in society as a graphic designer.
One of the most important things I've learned while we're in isolation is to take care of myself and to devote more time to myself. Taking care of yourself is something so underestimated nowadays. Whether due to a loss of time or due to an excessive amount of stress in everyday life or for other causes, humans don't devote enough time to themselves. While in isolation, I've had quite a lot of time to assume and recognize that certainly taking care of myself is one of the things that makes me glad. I mean little matters that I consider are available to anybody. These little matters are the ones that help me locate myself. Like exploring the beauty of nature, spending time with family and friends. I also love spending time with animals and taking care of them all these little things help me a lot during this pandemic to deal with my mental and physical issues. That's how I dealt with all my problems. And to better economic condition.we need to follow SOPs this is the only way to deal with this virus and to make everything normal.
Sincerely,
