Aoa Everyone ,
Here’s my story:

To begin, the first time I heard about the COVID-19 virus was towards the end of January 2020. At that time I was in 2nd year at college. My exams were very near and I was preparing for it.I didn’t care that much about it because I thought it was going to be a similar situation like the flu or dengue virus where government officials make statements to stay protected and safe . At that time none of us take this virus serious even our government officials. Whenever I open tv to check news ,most of the coverage was focused on the impact of COVID on Wuhan city of China (From where this virus spread).

The first case of Covid 19 in Pakistan was registered on February 26,2020. At that time officials started to take this seriously because there were deaths all around the world due to this virus. The virus took its peak on March,2020 in Pakistan. Thousands of cases were registered across every city in Pakistan. At that time Government took this seriously and they announced a smart lockdown in areas where cases rate was higher . Thus Lockdown across the country started because it was the only solution to avoid corona cases.

Government made very big decisions regarding education, transportation, wedding halls , restaurants etc . Everything got banned. Educational institutions were closed. Whole country was affected due to this . Business community of Pakistan was severely affected due to this.
My experience wasn’t good at that time because there were no college. I could not hang out with friends. Everything in country was closed. It caused tensions as there was no physical or mental health activity left . When I started research on COVID 19 , I came to know that this virus has deadly effect on old people as compared to young. Then I took serious measures as my grandparents were living with me . If I got infected with it will affect my whole family. Since this , I took serious measures and i avoided public gatherings. As lockdown continued, mental health got affected. I have to stay at home every time . This caused me serious problems but I tackled them by praying that it would end soon.
Thus days were passing then Ramadan came . It was my first Ramadan like this that I was stuck at home . There were no family gatherings. It hurts me a lot . Then Eid came. Same was the situation. No meet-ups no gatherings. My whole family was really sad and depressed .
But my morale was very high. I didn’t stop praying . I took all the SOP’s . All of my friends and family was very motivated to tackle this . Thus this was the most heartbreaking moment of my life that this COVID kept us away from our loved ones .

Covid 19 severely affected business and education community. There was no education and business during lockdown . This has caused serious issues for everyone. But government officials took serious steps to avoid loss . Online system of education was announced in country to avoid education loss . Similarly, businesses were open for limited time to avoid financial loss . Thus this had made situation little better and everything started to seem good. Then my university got started and online education was the mode . People were taking and obeying SOP’s in order to avoid Covid .
This virus didn’t end but it can be controlled by obeying sops and avoiding public gatherings. My hopes for the future are very good and my only fear is that this virus don’t get boosted again .
I think In sha Allah everything will get better once this end soon . Economy and education will be revived 💯 as it is reviving . But in order to get everything back to normal in 2021 , we should take serious measures and obey Sops and pray to Allah almighty to get this virus end.
In the end I would like to say that Pakistan is doing great to tackle this issue . We should not give up and we should do everything to stay things normal. Stay safe everyone.

Yours sincerely,
M Umer Imran
