Dear all,
Although we all face the same situation in this epidemic but we have gone through it differently. There was not a single lock - we all had our own experience. Let me tell you my story.
I was studying in college, when corona virus appeared in this world. Nobody had the idea that soon it will cause huge trouble for whole world. Just a month after the first case was reported in Karachi on February 26, 2020, the government quickly took steps to curb its spread and all educational institutions were immediately shut down.
I was busy in preparations of my brothers wedding. At the same time, test session was also started in my college. But few days after it, all educational institutes were closed instantly. We were in ambivalent condition that either we will have our final exams or not. Government was making policies on it. But there was a huge chaos about it.
My lockdown experience was most odd period of my life. Although, I was living in a village and lockdown not effect us somehow but my educational plans was totally destroyed. During lockdown, i missed many opportunities. Firstly, I was not able to pay attention towards my studies and unable to get admission in my dream institute. Secondly, i also missed army test due to lock down. Then somehow I got admission into an institute. But there a huge problem was waiting for me. We had to suffer from online system. Both us and teachers faced a lot of difficulties. I was distracted and lost interest in studies. Online system made me lazy and careless. My family also suffers a lot. My elder brother lost his job due to lockdown. Things were getting very serious. My results was also not much encouraging. Our country and people were also badly effected. Unemployment increase with increasing different tension in whole country. I had to stick to screen 24/7 and that effected my health. But I usually went out in fields to refresh my mind.
But then slowly slowly conditions became normal and we were moving toward normal life until again hit by second wave. Again lockdown imposed in country. I was greatly disappointed because we just had 2 weeks face to face classes in our university. Again last year drama started. I was in a great fear about my future.
But spite of all these difficulties, lockdown also gave some benefits. lockdown gave me my family back. Means my brother used to stay in foreign country for work. I used to stay in hostel in college life. But due to lockdown, we all were together. Moreover, lockdown develop a sense of care for others. It taught us how to help others in bad time. I also got some time from my busy routine and pay attention on me. That period increased my faith in Allah.
Hoping for the best, I have a firm believe that there is always bright dawn after a dark night. Insha Allah we will get through these conditions and go back to our normal life. My biggest desire is now to see world without face masks and Insha Allah soon it will come. We have to learn our mistakes and thanks Allah for giving us courage to pass that bad time. Insha Allah soon we will get rid off this disease.
Regards,
