Dear all,
Sometimes things don’t go the way we want them to. There is nothing we can do about it. Life is unpredictable and that’s the real meaning of it. Sometimes we spend our whole lives waiting for a perfect moment, well I believe in the theory of taking that moment and making it perfect because no one is going to do that for you. Good times give us happiness but the bad times are the real source of lessons. The beginning of 2020 was quite unusual for this world. A pandemic named COVID-19 proved to be a major incident of that year. It affected us economically, socially and most importantly mentally. No one was prepared for it and that made the situation worse. The entire human race suffered the consequences of COVID. Even the developed nations couldn’t stand against the pandemic and its effect on the countries like Pakistan was economically destructive. The government of Pakistan had to corner all other projects going on at that time and had to put all of its efforts to deal with Pandemic. That idea of prioritizing the Pandemic situation had some consequences as well. As it affected the country economically. People lost their jobs, country’s stock exchange crashed, people went bankrupt and etc. People hustled and strived for jobs and the entire scenario was just unexpected. Everything was happening so wrongly that no one could ever imagine. But in this whole scenario the majority of Pakistani Population dealt with that situation responsibly.
If I talk about my experience, then yes I myself faced serious consequences of this Pandemic. My life kind of stopped. I got sick and at that time no COVID test was being taken so I had no idea if it was COVID or not and I couldn’t appear in Entry tests of universities, SAT and ISSB due to that sickness. Moreover my Aunt, who raised me as her own son died due to COVID. Literally at that time I had no idea what was happening in my life. I was totally heartbroken and had no reason left to be happy. At that time I decided to deal with those problems of my own because everyone was going through that tough time. So I didn’t tell my friends about what I was going through because I really didn’t want to increase their problems but this idea of not telling them about my scenario had its drawbacks as well. Most of them left me saying that I was an ignorant soul. Moreover the government took its hands away from some projects due to Pandemic and one of those projects was under the supervision of my Father. Without the support of Government it was something extremely difficult to run that project. So overall it was a really testing time for me.
All that time I tried to show consistency, I knew that I’ll definitely get through that tough time and fortunately that’s what happened. Now the world is changing rapidly and people are trying to adjust with the current situation. We are ultimately digitalizing, and the only thing that is playing a great role in keeping the world running is Technology. This Pandemic proved that life is unpredictable but it also told us that human race can deal with anything. Frankly speaking, this Pandemic gave us a great opportunity of sitting and sharing our precious moments with our family members. This Pandemic told us that how important and unique these relations are to us. It ultimately arose a sensation of love, compassion and humanity in human heart. The world’s biggest charities are the result of this Pandemic and believe me that’s the beauty of this life. All it needs is patience and it gives us everything together at the end. We are still striving and trying our best but believe me all these bad times will be lost like tears in rain and only their lessons will be remembered.
Sincerely,
Syed Ali Essan
