Dear all,
People in their life have been going through many circumstances during lockdown. They have different experiences according to their situations in this deadly pandemic and here is my experience to survive in this lockdown.
When corona virus identified in China, I was actually curious to know about it. But as I was in second year, preparing for my exams, it was difficult for me to remain updated about its causes and effects. So I didn’t bothered about it until I get to know about the first cases being registered in Pakistan.
Before the first case in Pakistan, I was in my college making last memories of it. Our final exams were also close but I was also enjoying the last days of my college with all my friends and teachers.
Before the announcement of lockdown, we were in college and off time we told our friends that we will meet on Monday but as we reached home, we got the news about lockdown. Obviously it was disturbing for me and my friends because those were our last days in college. Then i got to know about this pandemic.
As lockdown started and cancellation of 2nd year exams announced, due to laziness, sleeping and waking up routine was very disturbed and honestly I hadn’t done anything productive during the first some weeks of lockdown.
After that when I started to realize that I have to start preparing for the entry test and should start doing things which are healthy, mentally and physically. Actually the online study was also one of the hectic routine in this pandemic situation. It was new not only for the students but also for the teachers. This online situation was very difficult to deal with.
In this lockdown, the biggest change I had seen in myself is that the change in my nature. It is because I was very short tempered and behaved very rudely when I was in that mood. But I have worked on that and kept myself calm in every situation. Now I am not that rude which I used to be.
I have explored my art side in this lockdown. I didn’t know that I had it. One day, sitting on the sofa, scrolling Instagram, saw Donald duck in a post and I started drawing it and I was actually good in that. After that I tried many anime characters and I succeeded.
Under this lockdown many families faced financial issues also. As offices were closed, during that the savings of my father helped us a lot. But there were people who lived from hand to mouth during this pandemic and to see those people was very difficult and heart breaking.
Then I got admission in university and the way I went to give entry test, wearing masks, gloves and taking sanitizer with me was very difficult. Almost every student was following sops but to see people who were not following social distancing, was devastating and then the online classes started. This routine became more and more hectic. We are still facing it.
In the last, just want to say that this lockdown have made me realize that we are nothing without Allah and this has made me spiritually strong. I think I tried to stay close to Allah during this lockdown and will keep going close to him all my life.
After going through all of this, I think I have made myself more energetic and stronger then I was before. This lockdown has uncovered my potentials which I didn’t know existed. This situation will end soon.
Sincerely,
