Pandemic Life

Covid pandemic started as a 2 weeks thing so everybody just nodded their heads, shrugged their shoulders and moved into a whole new experience most probably of their life. While a large sum of people have same opinions and complains about this experience, I don’t know if I fit in that sum or not.
Covid started when I was about to undergo Septoplasty ( to correct my deviated septum ). Due to pandemic, whole country wide hospitals’ O.Ts, all medical departments shut down except for emergencies. Here began the most complicated and strangest era of my life. Being at home in the first week wasn’t challenging, in fact most of us enjoyed it. But in the long term, it has affected me personally in the social term and educational aspect. Spending a big part of time with walls instead of people has made a critical impact on the social energy of everyone including me.
Another big impact it creates is that when a person is in isolation, that’s the time when his/her fears start making way to the deeper part of the brain. That’s when we start noticing every little fault in us, every little imperfection in us. My fears started attacking my brain. My main fear was “ How long will this pandemic last ?”. When will the institutions open so I’d be with my peers in a class room ? When will the Social places reopen ? All these thoughts kept getting stronger with every news of Pandemic being extended.
To be honest, when the Covid cases were only few, my fear of Covid was at its peak. I would examine all the food supplies carefully, double check everything I would touch etc. Now when the cases are at peak, the fear of Covid is at the lowest. I think false news and numbers revealed by many people on social media has a major role in it.
So far the economic condition is considered, it’s been worse worldwide. COVID-19 has rapidly affected our daily life, businesses and trade. As this disease spreads faster from person to person, we should look out for its symptoms carefully. Most of the countries have slowed down their manufacturing of the products. The various industries and sectors are affected by the cause of this disease; these include the pharmaceuticals industry, solar power sector, tourism, Information and electronics industry. This virus creates significant knock-on effects on the daily life of citizens, as well as about the global economy.
It’s the human nature to realize the worth of something once we’re deprived of it. Same thing happened when I realized how important and meaningful the social gatherings are, even the little ones which we would avoid. Spending quality time with friends makes a huge difference in our social skills.
Overall, it wasn’t that bad. I got to spend more quality time with my family. It was nice everyone gathering around the table. I consider myself lucky because me and my loved ones are safe from this deadly disease.
Sincerely,
Farman
