Lock down experience

Post by shariq naveed »

It goes without saying that this year has been one of the hardest in living memory. The pandemic turning life, business, social interaction, education, community, all on its head. While the change has looked different for everyone we can surely say that there’s been no other universal challenge like it. Not a single soul is standing where they thought they’d be this time last year. The scale of the lockdowns around the world is unprecedented, which is why the issue of mental health is important. The situation has been likened to wartime. During times of distress, people react in different ways.
Personally, I am trying to stick to what has worked for me in the past when I want to be calm. For example, learning and practicing simple relaxation techniques (like breathing exercises, muscle relaxation, mindfulness meditation) can all be very helpful in alleviating bodily and mental distress. I also try and acknowledge upsetting thoughts when they occur and discuss them with people around me. They are likely to have them too and we may be better able to find solutions collectively. Try to stay positive.
I have realized that as a husband, father, colleague and leader, it is now that I most need to display empathy, solidarity, emotional intelligence and to walk-the-talk to leave no-one behind. Ultimately there is only one solution: act with kindness, act with love, but with physical distancing. Spending whole day with my family !Glad that everyday its becoming fun staying with fam. Having lunch with them and sharing all the childhood memories. Working from home is much more better than face to face because we are always fresh to work. And there is no fear of being late.
One remarkable incident that i like to narrate is that i was not very good player of cricket but i was struggling to keep my game good. Opponent team can hit sixes easily on my bowling. But one day i clean bowled the main player of opponent team and get praise by my friends.
I hope that Allah almighty will help us in future and one day this virus will end. I also afraid from current economy situation that whether we will find job or not.
As the labor supply increases, downward pressure is placed on the wage rate. If employers' demand for labor doesn't keep up with the labor supply, wages usually fall. An excess supply of workers is particularly harmful to employees working in industries with low barriers to entry for new employees—that is, those with jobs that don't require a degree or any specialized training.

Conversely, industries with higher education and training requirements tend to pay workers higher wages. The increased pay is due to a smaller labor supply capable of operating in those industries, and the required education and training carries significant costs.
Sincerely,
Shariq
