Dear all,
As the corona virus pandemic rapidly sweeps across the world, it is inducing a considerable degree of fear, worry, and concern in the population at large and among certain groups in particular, such as older adults, care providers, and people with underlying health conditions. The main psychological impact to date is elevated rates of stress or anxiety. But in lockdown, as new measures and impacts are introduced – especially quarantine and its effects also many people’s usual activities, routines, or livelihoods – levels of loneliness are also expected to rise. The problem I have ever faced during this lockdown is the stress of education. We must admit that face-to-face interactions between teachers and students along with vibrant and healthy debates amongst peers within the classroom and outside are integral to quality teaching that we missed during this lockdown. Another problem that I faced during this time is the lack of physical activities. During the period of full lockdown, we cannot go outside for exercise, playing games, or other activities that help in our physical growth. Due to this, I also suffer from other diseases.
Online classes are not helpful as physical classes. But due to the situation, we have to arrange it and give more time to our education for getting things easy. Teachers have also known this situation, so they always use an easy method for teaching for our help. After I suffered from a health problem due to a lack of physical activities, I start to exercise at home. And this thing helps me in physical growth.
Throughout the pandemic, I have deal with countless challenges. Each being harder and more challenging than it’s previous. But in the end, I have grown to appreciate what I have, and the top-most on my list of things to be thankful about is good and sound health. I have also learned to be more responsible because most of the time, I have had to deal with a lot of stuff on my own. Like organizing my day, managing hours, and making sure I keep myself motivated.
Recently, my father is affected by a corona virus. It is at an initial stage when he got the vaccine and recovered. He is recovered from the initial stage, but his condition at that stage was very crucial. And I can imagine that how people are affected by this virus. I salute to doctors that help us in this difficult time.
I hope that the future is to bring brighter with the hope that this pandemic will blow over. But I also fear that the rate at which it is progressing, I feel as if there might be another line of challenges we have to cross. But I still hope and pray for the better part to come.
Pakistan's already fragile economy had only just been moving towards stability when the health crisis struck. Experts fear that the pandemic's economic fallout will considerably derail the country's recovery process. "Pakistan's economy is shrinking, unemployment is rising and various sectors are in crisis," warned Zafar Moti, the former director of the Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE). Pakistan's exports primarily comprise textile products. These exports are down since the COVID-19 crisis started, with some orders even being canceled.
