A year back covid-19 attacked globally and gripped the whole world. We have faced a lot and are still unaware and worried about the future impacts. It seems as an unprecedented challenge to whole world. In future the history would have much to say about 2021. Government has taken restrictive measures like isolation, social distancing, closure of educational institutions, workplaces and entertainment venues and forced people to stay in homes to stops its transmission. These measures are for our safety but unfortunately separation from loved ones, loss of freedom, boredom and uncertainty has caused deterioration in ones mental, emotional and physical health. Though all including me are too some extent negatively affected by these measures but I have tried myself best to come out of these by spending some quality time with my family, talking to friends, gardening and exhaustedly doing assignments, quizzes, lab reports, taking classes, making notes and many more. As there is no face to face connection with the people but I as an individual have to some extent grownup and started working upon my skills and at this time I am doing content writing for Umeed, voice overs, Quran Pak with translation, marketing etc. The one remarkable thing which I would narrate here is that during pandemic one of my cousins was covid positive as she was severely affected she was isolated but we never left her alone and this was done through means of social media, video calls, memes sharing etc. So here the lesson which I wanted to deliver is that though social distancing, isolation should be maintained we should never leave our loved ones in this crucial time as the disease also has severe effects but isolation has negative impacts too. As a citizen of pakistan all along with me are aware that our economy has moved a way back I am fearful about the future there would be less opportunities for all. A great time is required for stabilizing. As a student I am fearful about my grades as students use unfair means and that’s a bitter truth then the students which study by heart and do hard work this is injustice with them. And one of biggest fear that if it not stopped then where would the world go ?majority of our people would be dragged to depression, anxiety and other health and mental issues. As the revival of educational systems and economy requires massive growth and a lot of time but we have to struggle hard to meet up the demands and face the world. I hope that world would be more accepting and loving, more respective and appreciative for mental illness, more patient and less greedy people, I would like to see people more appreciative towards their families and be grateful for what they have, more positive towards others and more caring within and across communities, hope to remember the valuable aspects of this experience and factor them in our consideration when sculpting our lives as we re-enter the real world.
Sincerely,
Urooj Javed
