Experiencing the Pandemic

Post by Anoosha »

Hello everyone,

It's been more than a year since the Covid-19 is with us. At the start of lockdown, we just had to stay at home and were not allowed to meet our friends, relatives, and loved ones. I was mentally so much retarded. In the starting days, I was so disturbed as if I am a prisoner or something who cannot simply meet with others. I struggled a lot with wearing masks and making them my habit. I was not used to sanitizing my hands from time to time and this problem is surely faced by everybody.

My daily routine was greatly affected. I became so lazy and lay in bed for whole days because I had nothing to do. But with time I realized everyone is struggling with me too and I am not the only one and maybe all of these things are new normal. Of course, like everyone else, I struggled so much in the starting but as I mentioned earlier it's been more than a year so I am used to all these things now. Especially the thing that keeps me motivated is that if I will not follow SOP's then I can be a reason for not only my death but also for many others because this virus is highly contagious. And all these efforts are fruitful because I am still not infected with this virus. People are dying due to this virus but I am still safe because of the habit of following SOP's.

The good thing is that this pandemic is also a reason for spending more time with your family members. I have so many memories during all this period. I tried to learn cooking although I am still bad at it but it was fun though. I hope that everything will get alright in the future but we still need to be careful because this pandemic is still here and many people are dying due to this virus. Currently, its third wave is going on in Pakistan but people are taking it lightly. We have to be responsible because the condition of India is in front of us.

Let's just hope that covid will be over. But we have to face many challenges after it. During this pandemic, the education system is affected so much. Students are not able to perform well during this situation. The pandemic has created so much gap between students and studying. I think after the pandemic teachers need to work more on students. Maybe they have to extend the timings by not giving students summer or winter vacations so that students can fill the gap that was created. They will involve students in more activities. It will be a lot difficult but it will be worth it.

Pakistan's economy is also affected badly. The rate of unemployment is skyrocketed. After the covid, it will be very difficult for the people to start their businesses all over again. It will require a lot of courage and motivation. I think the government will provide them with aid. And also I think if people had fought with the covid then starting a business again will not be a big deal for them.

So at this time, I wish everyone very good health. It's a time that will be remembered in history so we need to cope with this pandemic together because "after darkness comes the light."

Sincerely,
Anoosha
